A level Business Students have attended a workshop today at Curtin University, Dubai regarding BLOCK CUP CHAIN CHALLENEGE BCC
Walkathon

Students of Year 11- 13 (Girls) went for a walkathon to Zabeel Park on Thursday- 18th October, 2018 in order to create awareness for breast cancer and beat it at zero cost. The main purpose behind the walk was to create awareness that, together, we can fight any obstacle, any disease and just any challenge that life throws at us. Students walked on the borders of Zabeel Park with bright eye catching posters that promoted self- exams and a healthy lifestyle. Each and person individual present did a wonderful job in keeping the spirit high throughout the walk and keeping the ambiance as lively as it could be. Finally, at the end of the walk, all the students were supplied with fresh juices to stay hydrated and remain afresh.
Primary assembly & Breast Cancer Awareness Fun Run

This morning, the primary students performed a dance in the assembly, emphasizing upon the importance of exercise and Zumba in daily life and routine. They were then asked the spellings of various words related to fitness and those who triumphed, was rewarded with a chocolate.
After the assembly, Year 1 students ran enthusiastically, in bright pink and white clothes, participating in the Fun Run. All the 135 students jogged and danced in the basketball court and as a replenishment, juices were distributed among them. All the students were elated as they participated actively.

10Senior Girls team (sixth formers) prepared primary students to create awareness among them. Year 2 performed on two events.
M.Wasif Farooqi, Year 2C, was awarded with the cash prize,certificate and trophy for participating in the Mental Math Competition held in the last academic session,organized by Ignited Math...at regional level.

EMIRATES LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2019
INVITING ALL STUDENTS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL TO PARTICIPATE IN EMIRATES LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2019
About The Competition
The Oxford University Press Story Writing Competition is held annually by the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature for school and university students.
The inspiration for 2019 is Other Worlds.
How to Enter
- Write your story – use your imagination and creativity to the full, but do remember that your inspiration is Other Worlds.
- You may choose your own title in keeping with Other Worlds.
- Complete all sections of the online entry, attaching your story.
- Entries can be in Arabic or in English.
- You should submit under the appropriate age category, which relates to your age on 7th November, 2018 . Please note the word limit for each category:
- Ages 11 and under (maximum f 500 words)
- Ages 12-14 (maximum f 1000 words)
- Ages 15-17 (maximum f 1500 words)
- Age 18-25 (full-time students in schols, colleges and universities, maximum of 1500 words)
The deadline to submit your story is 7th November, 2018.

The Prize
Winners will be honoured at a prize-giving event at the 2019 Festival and all the winning entries will appear in a published book. Each winner will receive:
- A trophy
- Five copies of the book
- The opportunity to attend a Festival session
Terms and Conditions
- Entrants must be in full-time education and resident in the UAE.
- Copyright of material submitted remains with Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
- Do not submit work as your own when part of or all of it has been done by someone else; this includes material found online. It must be entirely your own work, and any stories found to contain non-original content will be excluded.
- The winning entrants agree to the Emirates Literature Foundation’s, Emirates Airline Festival of Literature’s and Oxford University Press’s use of their name and photograph in relation to related publicity material and activities. Schools and students should be aware that they might need to obtain parental consent for this.
- Stories should be submitted in Times New Roman font, size 12 point, 1.5 line spacing.
- Stories should be unpublished and not previously submitted to any competition.
- Stories should be no longer than the word limit (entries exceeding the word limit will be disqualified).
- Entries must be received on or before the closing date of 7th November, 2018
- Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into with regard to these decisions.
- In accordance with normal conventions for writing competitions internationally, entries which do not adhere to the said terms and conditions will not be considered.
Please check that you have followed all the conditions before submitting your story.
Only the winners will be notified in advance by email or telephone, by the middle of January 2019.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation upon submitting their story through the website, and are welcome to join us at the prize-giving ceremony at the Festival.The Award Ceremony will take place during the Festival on 9th March, 2019.

The Taaleem Award is a poetry-writing competition for school and university students, held annually by the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.

- You may choose your own title in keeping with Other Worlds.
- Entries can be in Arabic or in English.
- The poem should not exceed 32 lines.
- Complete all sections of the online entry, attaching your poem.
- You should submit under the appropriate age category, which relates to your age on 7 November 2018 :
- Ages 11 and under
- Ages 12-14
- Ages 15-17
- Age 18-25 (full-time students in schols, colleges and universities)
- The deadline to submit your poem is 7th November, 2018
